New Operator: Copy a single modifier to all selected objects

4

Another day, and another patch fixing an infamous paper-cut, pushing Blender one step further towards usability bliss. This time, the patch brings an incredibly simple yet incredibly powerful operator: Copy a single modifier to all selected objects, courtesy of developer Erik Abrahamsson.

Previously, the "link modifiers" operator was used to transfer all modifiers between objects, but this operator brings the ability to copy specific modifiers, greatly increasing flexibility and granularity when working with big scenes requiring multiple modifier transfers.

  1. This is a welcome addition.
It would be nice if we could link the modifiers data, so changing it in one object affects all the others as well. Maybe when geometry nodes has all the modifiers built in, it'll be possible.
