Grease Pencil developer extraordinaire Antonio Vazquez is working on improving GP's fill tools. Among many small improvements such as the ability for fill resolutions to be less than one to speed up storyboards, there are two main additions that are bound to make your GP-driven life a lot easier.
I'm working on a patch to improve the #greasepencil filling tool of non-visible areas in the viewport. Before these areas were not filled. #b3d #b2d pic.twitter.com/QVDOsEJcJy

The first one completes the expected functionality of the fill tool by making its operation not bound by the viewport as it was before.
I am also working on improvements to make a quick fill of the silhouette with just a click. Super useful in storyboards. #greasepencil #b3d #b2d pic.twitter.com/Tezh3HSk7a

The second one is a one-button quick fill solution, another major quality of life improvement.
