Easy HDRI Creation with just a Phone!
Blender Daily writes:
HDRI’s are an awesome tool to quickly add realistic lighting and reflections to your scene. In this tutorial I demonstrate a simple technique to capture 360 degree images with the Google Street View app and go through three different techniques on how to deal with the lack of dynamic range.

This is hella-clever!
Thanks!
Shame the photosphere feature doesn’t work with any phone, and there seem to be no good free replacements
Great tip although it doesn’t create a fully proper HDRI. The 360 image created is most useful for many applications and a good back up if your 360 camera fails.
Unfortunately Google streetview isn’t effective for lighting as its not 32-bit bracketed exposure image. There is now an app to do this with an iphone tho. Its called HDReye. Here’s a link: https://apps.apple.com/ca/app/hdreye/id1566721813
