Blender Network Sunsets in 2021

0

Francesco Siddi has just announced on a Blender.org press release that the Blender Network will terminate its operations on March 31st 2021.

The Blender Network was initially launched as a hub for connecting Blender professionals, in a very different online landscape (Pablo points out that this was a time where Artstation wasn't even around!). After years of working towards this goal, this latest decision was made to adapt to the continuously changing online landscape and refocus the Foundation's efforts on the rapidly growing Blender Project.

Pablo Vazquez, one of the people responsible for the Blender Network, has also revealed that there are new plans for the Blender Community in 2021, with a revamped online hub promising a better experience based on community feedback.
