The Blender Network was initially launched as a hub for connecting Blender professionals, in a very different online landscape (Pablo points out that this was a time where Artstation wasn't even around!). After years of working towards this goal, this latest decision was made to adapt to the continuously changing online landscape and refocus the Foundation's efforts on the rapidly growing Blender Project.
It's not all over tho!
2021 will see a new Blender Community. Made from scratch for a better experience in @rmbselect, @GraphicAll, @BlenderToday, and upcoming new communities (!)
We are working on it right now, it's simpler and easier to expand based on community feedback. pic.twitter.com/7KS7BtB9HO
