Mantaflow developer Sebastián Barschkis has implemented a new feature just in time to find it under the Christmas tree: A new viscosity solver.
Fluid viscosity settings in Blender just got an update!

This new solver is based on the "Accurate Viscous Free Surfaces for Buckling, Coiling, and Rotating Liquid" method, which as the name implies, now allows for coiling and buckling viscous fluid simulations. The fluid modifier UI now has a viscosity panel with a "Strenght" attribute to control it.

This patch has already landed in master, and you can download the latest blender experimental build from the links at the end of the article to test it. Here are some early tests by blender user Nahuel Belich
or maybe some low res bubbling chocolate?
O quizás un poco de burbujeante chocolate de baja resolución?

Excellent. It seems quite useful for ice cream, chocolate etc.
