Thanks, I didn't know about custom orientations, that will help a lot. I've found that aligning the view to selected face (shift+n7) doesn't seem to work well on most obscure angles. Im not sure why, but hardly ever does it properly align perfectly.
hello, very helpfully video. You make a great job with yours videos.
At the end of the video you point a issue when using the method of 3d cursor.
It dosen't align with the gometry when you are outside the "cursor" tool.
there is a solution:
There is a tip for change the cursor direction during editing.
go to Preferneces>Keymap>3d View>3d vievw (global)
you have the option "set 3d cursor"
check "surface projection" and choix "geometry" instead view.
Save it for default.
And now when you modeling and you put your cursor it will be aligned to the geometry without to switch the "cursor" tool.
