Styriam Toolty - compositor cache, dynamic parent and more

I would like to present to you the Styriam Toolty add-on - a collection of tools easing mundane tasks.

Most significant of those are compositor Quick Cache and File Output converter, Picker for animating dynamic parents.

Quick Cache allows for inserting a cache node into the compositor tree. The Cache can be then baked without re-rendering the whole scene significantly speeding up compositor updates. Cache nodes can be muted or deleted like any other node. By default, these nodes are disabled in rendering time so you don't have to worry about forgotten single-frame caches during animation rendering.

File Output converter is used to replace File node with saved Image and automatically connect it with all suitable nodes. By selecting both Image and File nodes conversion can be reverted to the original state.

Picker can be used to animate characters picking up, handing over, or dropping objects. All necessary keyframes and constraints are made automatically with one button click. All you need to do is select an object to be picked and its future parent. Select only the child object to release it from its constraints. For your convenience, all 'Child Of' constraints are listed in the Parenting Panel.

And that's not all, Toolty offers more:

  • Isolate light - show only selected light respecting hidden objects and mesh lights.
  • Rigid body helpers - useful tools to keyframe visibility and kinematic property for many objects at once. These tools can insert keyframes in on/off pairs reducing work needed to be done to just one click.
  • Keyframe custom property - using python data path, insert a keyframe for any animatable property for many objects at once. With comprehensive debug reports preparing your data path will be a breeze.
