This support is provided by the implementation of an insert mesh tool which can be used by brushes to have a reference to a mesh datablock, which can then be inserted into the sculpt mesh.
This tool is still set to experimental as it still doesnt work with dyntopo and multires in its current state, and it also won't work with high poly meshes in this implementation.

Oh yes!! I've been hoping this feature would get implemented.
Is this still in the works? Or can we play with it in an alpha build?
