Ivan Perevala has added a new lens distortion model to Blender’s motion tracking toolset, the Brown-Conrady model.
The new model improves compatibility with other software also using this model, such as Agisoft Photoscan, 3DF Zephir, Reality Capture, Meshroom, and with photogrammetry software in general, with the implementation of 4 radial and 2 tangential coefficients.
This new model is available under the distortion model menu in Lens settings. The videos above are tests provided by Ivan Perevala showing some use-cases of this feature.

This is wonderful! Great to see Blender's matchmoving tools get even stronger!
What does this motion tracking feature have to do with photogrammetry software?
well... if you can track it, you can create a pointcloud.
If you can create a pointcloud you can create geometry.
If you have geometry, you can assign the video as texture.
done! ;)
Thanks! Does this mean I can create a 3d scanned asset from a footage right in Blender?
