How to work with METABALLS | Blender 2.90

Hello everybody!
Personally I have never heard about Metaballs before. It was just a function in the add panel but I never tried to work with it. I regret this at all because Metaballs are a very interesting and fascinating oportunity for sculpting, fast shaping volume and are a second method beside particles!

Let me know if you have used Metaballs before and do you like this function in Blender?
Cheers

25games was founded in 2016 by two friends: Severin & Simon. Our first goal was to publish a action-adventure game called Kordex. Sadly we wasn't able to find enough support to continue development. However, our Youtube channel and the pixel community was growing nicely. So we decided to continue producing videos for gamedev for you! If you have any problems with game production, feel free to contact us and we try to help!

  1. I laughed so hard when I read "How to work with MEATBALLS", I was like "whaaaaaaat?!" hahaha I see the thumbnail of the video is fixed but this one is not xD

    • Oh god please no XD
I should have thought to made a joke because many people are hearing 'Meatballs' when you say 'Metaballs'... but this shouldn't be in my thumbnail :D I failed so hard XD

      • Most people wouldn't hear "meatballs" if you would promounce it correctly ;-) It's actually pronounced like "matter ball", not "metre ball". Anyway, nice overview - I already knew roughly what they are and what I could do with it, but since I didn't really use them much i wasn't aware about the naming or how to separate them by the name.

        • Thank you for this hint! I watched some other videos of this topic as well and I read the comments where people pointing out this "joke" as well. Pronouncing is always a very big part for me :/

      • Oh man! hahaha So it wasn't an intentional joke??? xD haha It was indeed an epic fail haha Yeah, you should embrace it and make the joke yours xD
