Hello Guys.

I am Rayhan. I started to learn Blender three months ago (June 10th) with the infamous Donut Tutorial. From that point learned a lot from the community! I’ve to say this, Blender community is the best community that I’ve been part of! This is my first short film in Blender.

Would love to get feedback from you guys. It’ll be very inspiring for me and countless other new beginners who just started or thinking about starting out in blender.

Storyline:

Joker placed a time bomb in the library. Batman is fighting with coronavirus so Robin came to defuse the bomb. Time is running away but Robin hasn’t been able to defuse the bomb yet. Will Robin finally be able to defuse the bomb?

If you want to have a look at the behind the scene here's the link!

Thank you!

That was really good! Loved it. :)
I take it Blender isn't your first 3d program you used? How long have you been animating for?

  2. Really Cool! I can't tell you're a filmmaker for sure! Seems like Learning blender was probably the main learning curve for you. After that, the placement of lights and framing of shots would be the more simple task for you. But three months?!! That's still very impressive! It was very good!

Thank you so much! It was only possible because of the community! So many amazing contents out there for free, it's unbelievable! I am directing live-action commercials since 2014 so that experience helped a lot!

  3. What annoys me is, I started learning blender around the same time and I am no where near as good as you! Well done, you know the deal though, time for a tutorial on it, in particular rigging the face!

Thanks, Mark! I actually spent 14 hours a day dedicatedly learning blender and due to corona there were no external projects going on, so I didn't have any distraction!

And as you can see this is a rather simple animation - every scene has only one facial expression. Here's a good lego animation tutorial playlist that might be useful to you -

I mainly focused on the storytelling part instead of looking at my weakness (which is a lot. Working on a few more shorts right now and learning new things every day. There' is so much to learn time to it's overwhelming!.

      • Ah thanks very much, your dedication has really paid off and I need to take a bit of that attitude and instead of collecting tutorials I want to try someday actually sit down an do them! I look forward to your next short!

I know what you mean, I did that while I was trying to learn Houdini, and finally gave up hahaha

Would love to see your work.

Great work. Your cinematic qualities really shows up and makes the difference.
I started around the same time thanks to Corona but focused more toward sculpting
