Video: How did the Space Shuttle launch work?

8

Jared Owen writes:

I just posted a video all about the Space Shuttle launch. This video covers things like the Orbiter Processing Facility, assembly at the Vehicle Assembly Building, the roll out to the lauch pad, and of course the launch itself. I'm really hoping I have a unique video here! Comments/critiques are always welcome. Thanks for watching!

I make 3D animations about how things work and post them to youtube!

  1. Excellent work. I like the fact that you didn't go for full photo-realism. It allows the viewer to focu more on the information and less on the image. The modeling is top notch!

    • I've learned that I can animate much quicker if I take the photorealism down a notch or two. Thanks for your comment Jeff! I must admit that I did purchase a few models so I can't take all the credit for the modeling

  2. Really great work. I try to stay well informed about all things space-related and still learned a few things from your video.

  3. What a great video. I like the clean, non-photorealistic look. I also learnt quite a lot. No wonder it took you all Summer to make. Nicely done!
