Custom Bevels for Text and Curves in Blender 2.91

1

Hans Goudey must be aiming for a Blender 2.91 hat trick, pumping out one new feature after the other. Not only is he wrapping up the new properties search, but another one of his patches just landed in master, bringing custom bevel profiles for Text and Curves!

Curves and texts could already be beveled using a curve as a guide, which can be accessed in the “object” mode in the Bevel sub-panel. This new patch adds a “profile” mode to this subpanel, making the process much more streamlined, allowing the bevel to be designed without having to deal with an extra object/curve.

Custom Bevel profiles for meshes via the Bevel modifier or Bevel tool had dropped in Blender 2.82, also implemented by the one and only Hans Goudey, making the newest patch a natural continuation and expansion of this feature.
