Nice initiative. Just one comment – it may be more intuitive to keep the “get” – “set” paradigm when dealing with the location, orientation and scale. For instance, it may be clearer to use “get_location” for reading the location and “set_location” for setting it.
The module contains many convenience functions that call the same functionality with different names, get_location and set_location can be added easily.
