Do you want to design real-world objects as a mechanical engineer would? In this tutorial, we'll overview the reasons for using a parametric modeler and best practices for doing so. You can use FreeCad to create parametric mechanically accurate parts and then import them into blender for assembly fit and 3D printed part creation. This methodology can be used to design your own 3D printer. All files for this tutorial are available in the open-source 3D printer design that can be found here.

Nice video! Congrats.
Just one quick note. Blender does allow to design using precision. I'm a Mechanical Engineer and I'm looking for free-source parametric CAD. I have started using Blender but parametric modelling there is not that easy. FreeCAD looks more adequate to it. Just started to evaluate this possibility. Maker Tales series on precision modelling in Blender. ( https://youtu.be/83yNYScsRPI )
Thanks!
