Hi everyone,

In this video we're going to be taking a look at some of the recent news in the Blender and general 3D community.

Unity has joined the Blender development fund, providing more support towards the project and enabling more full-time developers to bring us new features.

A screen-space global illumination addon has been made freely available for the EEVEE rendering engine, bringing the quality closer to cycles for a fraction of the rendering time.

As well as this, the Blender Conference will be taking place this year, except it will be taking place online instead of in person. They're giving people the opportunity to create a 2-minute video showing what they've done with Blender throughout the year, and a 'comfort box' of goodies has been announced so people can still get their hands on some merchandise.

Thanks for watching, and stay safe!
