Working on large projects with linking and overrides

Peter Kemp writes:

3Dami has been running since 2012, bringing groups of pre-university students together to make every part of an animated short in Blender (yes, including the video editor). Our camps involve groups of 9 or 10 students working together on the same film, building and sharing hundreds of assets. Modular design is hugely important. To try and support students working together we have made this tutorial that covers how to using linking and overriding in Blender.

  1. So happy to see the library override feature is finally coming together. The "make proxy" had far too many limitations.
Also really happy to see someone teaching the proper linking method - most people know nothing about it!
