Your video seems how I wanted my Linux UI :) If you ever decide to port this to an actual UI I volunteer my self immediately to be the Alpha Tester. Great job!
Thanks! Solaris tried to something like the jurassic park UI with the looking glass project, but it never took off. AFAIK the closest thing to this UI in Linux is Edex: https://github.com/GitSquared/edex-ui
The UI from the Jurassic park computers was actually fsn, a file browser created by SGI not long before the movie was made. See https://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Fsn_(file_manager)
