Hi everyone,
In this video, I talk about some new and interesting things that are happening in the Blender and general 3D community.
We talk about open source motion capture (with Blender integration), an update to a popular scattering addon, great new YouTube videos with tons of Blender tips and the impressive technology behind the new Microsoft Flight Simulator.
Thanks for watching and have a great day!

To be clear, I like the videos from Curtis Holt a lot (thanks for this one as well!).
But I'm increasingly surprised about all the sensor-based motion tracking news lately, like the Chordata project. This is really an outdated and expensive concept, that will be surpassed by camera-based motion capture systems that use deep learning technology for processing. There will be no need for complex suits or motion sensor body attachments and these systems can track multiple targets simultaneously.
There is already a lot going on in that field, like DensePose and XNect. Also interesting, take a look at Andrew Price's The Next Leap: How A.I. will change the 3D industry (from 2018). The rate of development has increased tremendously since then, so I expect a lot of new solutions in this area.
