This is great. I think the part I'd really struggle with is getting all the dimensions right without having references and measures. I mean, I can use the basic tools like that--but I don't think my attempt would get it all proportionally correct without having some additional help.
The best way to keep everything in scale is, looking at the real online furniture's shop like IKEA, and taking the dimensions from their products. And if you struggle with the room dimensions aswell- just look up for avarage bedroom dimensions.
Sometimes , websites provide a special blueprints which you can convert to normal jpeg/PNG files and use 'em as a reference for modeling.
