The goal with my youtube channel is to explain things with 3D animation that cannot be easily explained with with only words (or even 2D animation). I had seen animations of the electric motor before but the explanation was geared at college level students. This video attempts to break it down so that a much wider audience can understand it. I realize though that it's still a complex topic! Please enjoy and feel free to share comments criticisms if you have any.
As far as the blender side of things go - this is a pretty straight forward animation. The one challenge I had was the current on the wires. I used an array of cylinders and then curve modifer so it would match the curve of the wire. I then used a boolean modifier to make it "dissapear" at the end of the wire when it was animated. This worked great until I turned on motion blur. For some reason there were streaks of light every few frames! Turning off motion blur fixed the problem but I still don't know exactly why it happened🤔 Maybe next time I will try doing the electricity with material nodes instead!

congrat . :D
Really excellent!
I often thought about this kind of visualization for the kids to get a better understanding of such kind of "engineering stuff".
Great - thanks!
