in this quick tutorial, I will show you how to fix the orientation of the object if you have applied rotation, or maybe you rotated it in the edit mode or you have imported it from other software.

My name is deep Singh and I've been a motion designer since 2014. I started in 3Ds Max But eventually fell in love with Blender. My specialty is hard surface modeling, rigging, and product animation, but Abstract art and looping animation is also a big part of what I love making and is usually easier to cover in a practical amount of tutorial time.

    Sorry, easier way:
    - Select the object
    - Ctrl +A and click on select 'clear transform menu'
    - Select 'clear rotation'

no, I think you are not correct - ctrl-a brings up the Transform Apply menu - you can bypass the menu and clear rotations directly by doing select object > alt-r - but this doesn't work if the object's rotation has been applied, which is the situation the tutorial is discussing - if an object has been rotated and the rotation applied (ie: the new rotation has been set to 0,0,0,), you cannot clear rotation with alt-r - in that case you need to use a technique like the one described in the tutorial

    • I never noticed we could clear transforms (that haven't been applied) with CTRL+A, so I'm glad you brought it to my attention.

Yes, if the transformation is applied the clear menu is not working, clearly.
Apologize, I didn't get that the application was done. I rewatched the tutorial and was writing it.
