Jordi Torres writes:

Hello, I'm proud to show you this small, but ambitious, project called Roguecats. During more than 4 months, me and the developer Patricio Land put some effort in create an action history and the base of two cartoony characters personality. In this video you will see their potential unfolding in a fantastic world, full of any kind of monsters and dangers you can imagine.

Technically the project was created entirely with blender 2.81 and rendered in cycles, with the exception of other softwares to create some prompt textures.

Previously I did another video with some test animations, where I put emphasis on test the proper rigs for this project. These are very simple armatures, based on the bendy bones qualities, and where simplicity is more important than sophistication.

We are trying to divulge this project, and our goal is continuing making more animations like this. thanks to all, enjoy :)

Only some 4 months is really a short time, to do such a nice animation. Congratulations and keep us informed.

Oh wow! I LOVE it! Both the characters and their world fit, you've maintained the style beautifully. The animation might be simple but it suits the style - and it doesn't need to be any more 'sophisticated', I love your camera moves/transitions - you kept the story flowing, nicely, predictably the added the shock at the end...love it, it made me laugh. Truly wonderful work - I can't wait to see more...does your project have a Patreon page?

    • thanks a lot! you make me happy to hear all that. We don't have a Patreon page, but If the project keeps growing we will consider it :) But still need some funding

That's a really good job, I liked it a lot! Well done! Did you record the audio and the dialogues yourself?

    • thanks a lot! appreciate your reply :) audio sound are take from web libraries and voices are recorded by voice actors. All put together with blender's video editor
