  1. There is a much easier way to do that which much more controle on the maps lvl (diffuse etc.) Use the Universal material instead, and only this one. Plug a scatter medium in the medium and play with the density for the amount of SSS you want. Be sure to have a redish color in Transmission or it won't work. You can then use regular diffuse, normal, roughness etc maps without having their lvl modulated. It's waaaaay more effective
