Hi, my name is Jan and I help companies by creating short videos for their websites and internal use, mostly as a freelancer for agencies. I post daily one-minute tutorials for Blender users and wrote the popular "Blender Secrets" e-books.

  1. I'm not sure whether to feel grateful and honored that you seem to have made a video based on my question following yesterdays video, or annoyed that you stole my idea! Either way, I want 50% of profits! But seriously, this is the same method I had previously tried, and when used with converting the mesh to a curve, instead of using the skin modifier, it is a nice technique.

    • I hope you're not genuinely annoyed :-) I often try to answer people's questions in comments by making a video, as that way everybody gets the benefit. To be honest I also get a lot of comments on different platforms (IG, YT, here, FB, Twitter, etc) and though I used to @ the person who posted the question originally, these days it's hard to keep track of where the comment originated (as I get a lot of comments, mails and DM's). So, thanks for the suggestion, sorry if it bothers you, which I hope it doesn't. Have a nice evening!
