Hard surface modeling Basics with Blender 2.8

This is a beginner tutorial in which I show the very basics for hard surface modeling with Blender 2.8 by creating a simple high-adjustable table model.

I create the model by combining separate objects - like it is in the real world - and then I add a smooth shading and crisp edges using the bevel modifier.
