I first tried my hand at 3d modeling as a teenager, using an old copy of 3DS MAX. 14 years later, I found the very first scene I finished in 3D – a version of Vincent Van Gogh’s Bedroom In Arles. I thought it would be fun to see how I would create the whole thing now, 14 years later using Blender.
Your 2006 render is not “terrible”, it’s only a non PBR image. But, of course, the recent render is a wonderful recriation of Van Gogh bedroom.
And I say more: the photos taken with that simple cameras from the 1980s were no so different from your 2006 image.
