There are always lots of tutorials on how to make rocks and rock like objects and no method is ever good for all use cases, but I really think the method I show in this video has some merit. It will allow a user to create semi procedural rocks in under 5 mins with an edge flow that is fairly close to perfect when compared with what someone might model by hand and also has the versatility to work in very high and very low poly situations.
