Blender for 3D Medical Animation

Marcin Klapczynski writes:

My studio, Alpha Tauri 3D Graphics, produces biomedical animation and corporate videos for biotech and pharma companies. We also provide artwork for journal covers, scientific illustrations, print advertising, and website content. Blender is a fantastic tool and we use it exclusively for all our 3D work! We heavily rely on particles to build complex structures, like human gut tissue or highly detailed cellular membranes, as well as to animate busy scenes, like blood flow, protein transport or viral invasion.

Lots of models in our videos were made by Robert Gutierrez, a very talented 3D scientific modeler. You can see some of his insanely detailed animal models on his ArtStation portfolio.

We created a video about 3D modeling and animation using Blender, as a part of "behind-the-scenes" series. The first two videos covered writing a video script and creating a story board.
