I have a LONG history with Blender - I wrote some of the earliest Blender tutorials, worked for Not a Number and helped run the crowdfunding campaign that open sourced Blender (the first one on the internet!). I founded BlenderNation in 2006 and have been editing it every single day since then ;-) I also run the Blender Artists forum and I'm Head of Community at Sketchfab.

This was a good pick, and a nice tribute to Bob Ross. Now some of you gurus out there, pick a Homer, or Sargent watercolor (or artist of your choice) and see it you can copy it. I would but I'm not there yet w Blender.
Peace.
Bob Ross is that you? No waiiiit! It's you Steve? right? Man - the beard fooled me totally! But the video - boy what a video. OK - what you call a simple material for the mountain snow seems extravagantly complicated - but that's why you're the master - and watching your videos makes me want to go back to using blender - and try your "ideas". Cheers & thank you - awesome teaching moment.
Glad you liked! And awesome that it inspires you to pick up Blender again, you definitely should! :)
Apology for second post. You should have this printed on canvas for kicks. Take advantage of a promotion with one of the vendors that do that. Maybe strike up a deal with them? A stretch, but who knows.
Best, and thanks again.
I've long wondered how I'd simulate a Bob Ross scene in Blender. Fantastic work and great tips!
