Blender short: The Moon (6 festivals so far)

Hi Blendernauts!

Last May I took two weeks off from my feature project to make this short film, which is a poetic homage to the 50th Anniversary of the Apollo 11 Moon landing. It has appeared in six festivals, and earned me a Best Sound Design award so far. I have to give a shout out to the attendees at the Oaxaca Film Festival, because they made me feel like a rock star at the screening! Other acknowledgements appear at the end of the film (3 mins!).

If you are thinking about making a short, I encourage you to go for it, decide YOUR own vision, and don't let anything stand in your way. This film is really quite simple, so don't think you have to go crazy. Remember: The Moon is FUN!

I am a writer and filmmaker. I got into Blender in 2014 to learn Motion Tracking, and as I got familiar, my curiosity led me deeper into the wormhole. Now I'm up to my ears in my feature animation "EvE: The Will to Live". I am completely berserk for blender and animation and film. OpenSource is important because SHARING = PEACE
