Jan van den Hemel writes:

Let's say you want to slide this cube along the surface of this other cube.
Manually rotating one cube to match the other is impractical.

Hi, my name is Jan and I help companies by creating short videos for their websites and internal use, mostly as a freelancer for agencies. I post daily one-minute tutorials for Blender users and wrote the popular "Blender Secrets" e-books.

  1. This makes things a lot easier, and is a good tutorial. Could it be improved by having the option where "Fred" remains persistently married to the orientation of the face? I suppose once it's in place, you should just parent the object. Or maybe there's a way to set it up via drivers.
