Blender Addon - Lineworks

Hello BlenderNation!

I just released a new addon called Lineworks.

It gives you the ability to add stylized lines to your characters. The lines will inherit the motion of your character and have a rig to further refine your lines shape. You can create grease pencil lines or procedural mesh lines.

You can find an introductory video as well as a tutorial series on how the addon works here:

The addon can be purchased on BlenderMarket or Gumroad.

I have been using blender since 2009. I jump around from project to project but I am primarily a modeler and sculptor. I love learning all I can about 3D and every facet of Blender. I recently started to develop my own addons for Blender.

Interesting feature. Can it be used to create bezier curves apart from a character or object? I have been thinking that this is a glaring absence in the feature set of Blender--the ability to simply draw curves instead of having to make the default curve and manipulate it to what you want.

    • Christopher,

There already is a bezier curve drawing tool in blender. In 2.80+ if you go into edit mode of a curve in the toolshelf is a draw tool.

It was in 2.79 but it was basically hidden.

Oh, right. I remember now. You have to delete the vertices to start a new curve from scratch. That's works. Probably be more of an elegant solution just to have the draw tool selectable without creating a curve beforehand though.

Anyway, sorry to hijack the comments on this new addon. The curves on characters looks pretty cool!

  2. Oh nice! They used something similar in the Spiderverse. Very welcome addition to Blender's already impressive toolset for stylized looks.
