Here we wanted to share with you the first main chapter from the free bonus 2.8 update that Gleb and I put together for the Hard Surface Modeling course.
It's mostly a summary of the differences between Blender 2.8 and beyond vs Blender 2.7x and before.
The main goal is to place what we felt would be the key bits of information to know when trying to follow along with older tutorials. Though we added what we thought might be some extra questions someone might have when taking a look at the 2.8 UI.
Check the description for a full chapter list.
Here are the major beats...
- What changed?
- Where things moved?
- How to use the new stuff?
We'll have more to share very soon! :)

thank you for the overview...
is similar available for add-onn scripting? i have to bring an add-on from 2.7x to 2.8x, but i did not track what changed and how some things work now (best practice)
Hi!
I seem to recall it's not too tricky to convert older addons over. It was a while back but Jayanam has this here for example...

And i think there are other similar resources. Hope it helps! :)
