I was visiting your website (www.sharetextures.com) because I read out that your offered textures are seamless, but in fact, it is not in that way?
I chose, for example, Country Road 1 texture that was in very poor quality and completely not seamless.
Every marble floor texture is tiling.
Metal textures also are not seamless.
Also, there is a lot of low-quality textures. No offence guys, but I think it is not a good way on how to attract your visitors by offering something that is not in reality true.
For me, it is a BIG NO for Share Textures as texture source and will look in other places for Texture source for mine works!

Hello Steven, most of our textures are seamless. I don’t like the marble textures as seamless It’s kinda against the natural way in my opinion but you can make them seamless easily. Yep some of them are low quality it’s true.
Sharetextures.com is my garage project so I don’t have a big company behind me or I don’t have huge budget to do so maybe you can support us and help us to achieve good quality textures before say Big NO ?
There is a lot of free texture website also free. Please check them if you didn’t like ours.

Guys, I think that you do not need a big company or a huge budget to make your project quality and according to your offered services.
Even it is just a “Garage” project, anyway, you can create quality textures with the tools that are available in our 21 century.
You are asking for material support from others but not giving back quality products.
Like in this blog example about high-quality wood textures: https://www.sharetextures.com/blog/free-wood-textures/ – No Quality, no seamless.
All tree bark textures are tiling.
And now you are offering me to make your provided textures seamless by my self, but in fact seamless, that is – if we can believe what is written, are offered by your service and on your website.
Something here smells fishy! :)

Warning: based on the IP address of this comment, there’s a very high chance this originated from BlendFab, the company I recently stopped working with because of their shady business practices. This is another example of that – best to stay away from them.

I also know the BlendFab site and BlendWolrd.Net – these are the same assets sites like any other site. So what!?

We had have agreed that there is no more cooperation between BlenderNation and BlendFab.
So as we understand that everyone was fine with that.
Shame on you that you are keeping going on this all!
Man, I’d never heard of Blendfab until now. They made quite an introduction…
As for Sharetextures, the site looks great and I’ll be using it in the future. I’ve also become a Patron in the hopes that it can help evolve the site (or other projects) in the future.

Thanks for supporting us. As I said earlier not everything perfect at the site for example:
I would like to host all textures in my own server (I’m currently using Google-Drive)
3D viewer try textures(like Poliigon) without download (maybe sketchfab entegration)
Variations of color maps
8K resolution maybe more
More 3D Scanned materials/models
PBR Scanned Real Samples etc.
There is tons of way to upgrade sharetextures.com and in time I will make them by one by.

I thought the community was about helping each other out.
If someone offers something for free and it doesn’t fit what you need you have a couple of choices – pay for something that does, or spend the time to make it yourself.
For some projects, down and dirty works fine. Don’t criticize someone for trying to help you out.
