Video: Napoleon Opening Credits

8

Albin Merle shares an incredible-looking 'fake' trailer for a television show about Napoleon Bonaparte.

Here is a fake opening credits i did recently as i wanted to improve my 3dskills and explore a new workflow for cutting edge trailer.

Like if a massive production company would decide to make a series on Napoleon. Most of the model are inspired from the online collection of the French army museum of invalides. (musée de l’armée des invalides ).

Cou can download the free Coin 3d model here.

A few words about the workflow:

Modeling in blender, texturing in substance painter. I used a decimated lowpoly model to rig my model into mixamo, then imported in back into blender to transfer my rig onto the Highpoly model. Whenever a model is duplicated, i use as much as possible the Linked file tool to keep my scene light.

For instance, in the shot with several soldiers i just append the collection and offset the animation.
Cycles for rendering.

Music : Lacrimosa, Mozart.

hope you guys will like it.

  1. I have seen a television series attract funding with a very much worse video than that. Fantastic. Possibly the close up hands were not quite right, but It made me want to see that (at the moment fake) series!

  2. Very cool, congratulations. Though it makes me wonder about the legal side of things with regard to the score, tbh.
Where's the recording from and are you sure it can't get you into trouble if you use it publicly here?
Don't get me wrong, I'm not trying to call you out or rain on your parade, but you know...

  3. Très incroyable! Honestly, a fantastic job all around. It has professional polish and style. Could easily be the opening to a show. Seriously, I'm very impressed.

The mood, the atmosphere that emanates from the objects is amazing. It's like being trasported to another era!

The synchrony between the music and the images are gorgeous!

    Great work, congratulations!
