  1. In North America I know that for at least 40 years now our lumber industry has been planting several trees for every tree they cut down...We have more trees now than we did a hundred years ago but it isn't without serious screw ups such as planting the wrong trees in the wrong areas leading to bark beetle outbreaks of planting them too close together making it impossible to do control burns of brush.

Just hope this organization doesn't make the same mistakes but it is a noble cause.

    • Well, looks like this organization is already doing things wrong. My uncle has been a forest ranger for 35 years now in SoCal and one of his main complaints about organizations like this is them planting trees too close together. Sure, 8 feet from one another is the bare minimum but it leaves no room for natural propagation (it should be 2-4 times the distance depending on the terrain) and like I said in the previous post, it makes it nearly impossible for firefighters to do control burns of brush.

      Sigh...

  2. Hi Steve, would you mind sharing this Blender scene? I would like to compare how it runs on my workstation. Very encouraging. Thank you.
