Absence - Eevee Animation - Nostalgic's Ode

I thought that creating an archviz reel could be a great idea for my portfolio. So I created a scene, a simple interior and added a living element, the animated curtain. That was the cornerstone for this project.

I tried to render 1400 frames in Cycles using render farms that generously let me beta test their services for free, but I quickly understood that I should invest a lot if I wanted to have all those 1400 frames rendered using Cycles with a 20/25 minutes per frame.

And that was the moment I started thinking about Eevee being a good option to create an animation. The first tests weren't so good though. But after a few tests, I got something that I could accept as ok.

The music was a big element I took into consideration. My first option was a happier mood with a different name: Summer Breeze.

But then, I wanted to have a take where the shadow of the curtains was projected over the rug, and then I understood that this piece was not happy. This piece was a melancholic artwork.

Architecture speaks when it's part of the life and death of their guests. Even when the absence takes place, houses have a lot to say.
