Congrats! I understand Adidas is now the official footwear of Blender Institute's crew. Adidas - it's good to be in Blender's shoes.
I like that
I in turn support blender by wearing Adidas shoes and support Adidas by using Blender.
Nice shoes and all, but more importantly: who's next, Autodesk?
The only corporations that are supporting Blender financially (so far) are those who have the most to gain in supporting Blender development--particularly those who benefit from Blender's open-source pipeline, and its growing studio reach.
That flies directly in the face of companies like Autodesk.
The FOSS community shouldn't fear the funding. Community support is great, and always has been for Blender. It's still community-based, community-targeted development.
But the substantial funding from larger companies will help Blender truly grow towards its highest potential with expedited development and greater scope.
YEAH! Blender, you rock every single day! =D
Congrats!

Besides, Adidas means much bigger reach as there are more Adidas wearers than CG artists. Who's next, Sir George Clooney?
