    • QuadriFlow's result is fairly generic compared to Quad Remesher. QuadriFlow is more of an improved version of Blender's old Remesh modifier, taking the mesh flow into account, but not strategically placing edge loops like Quad Remesher.

Best thing to do is to install the Quad Remesher trial version and compare the results to other Blender remeshers.

    • I know you wrote an article about 3dcoat vs zbrush auto-retopo in the past.

Do you think that the quad-remesher is much better than the 3d coat?

      • I've indeed written an article about auto-retopologizers in the past. :-)

Quad Remesher is better than 3D-Coat's Autopo. Autopo can choke on certain mesh characteristics, such as thin areas. Autopo also sometimes creates nasty singularities in some spots, causing more than five edges to converge to one vertex. When subdivided, those spots result in artifacts.

  1. Their website is almost constantly down! It is down as I'm writing this. I wrote to them previously and got a somewhat snappy answer refuting my inquiry. I wonder what's up with these guys?
