Today, we are providing a beta preview of Radeon ProRender with Full Spectrum Rendering in our Blender 2.80 addon. This gives artists a viewport that can be scaled from super-fast rasterized to fully ray traced, all with physically accurate materials and lighting. Think of it like a mix of EEVEE and Cycles all in one, powered by Vulkan! You can download the add-on here.

Nice! And how did you get Ryan Reynolds to host this? ;)
Did he say EEVEE and Cycles all in one? That makes me feel like a kid in a candy store (:
And where' NVIDIA with that super expensive RTX I bought 8 month ago (and now prices dropped half)?
Some experimental, not fully integrated Optix implementation on F12 while I was hoping MOSTLY for viewport speedup / eevee improvement. Wow, I'm such a loser. FU NVIDIA.
Well, we feel when you don't tie users in to one API customers have options.
Does it mean that it works with Nvidia because it supports OpenCL?
Thank you
Yes, although technically the "full spectrum rendering" parts are using Vulkan, the full path tracer uses OpenCL.
does it work with Nvidia cards too?
Based on post on blenderartist by one of the developers. YES.
Overall this is great news. Wonder how long before Blender adds "hybrid" rendering to use Eevee and Cycles. :)
Any chance a shadow catcher type of material could be assigned?
Does it work with Mesa Vulkan , I use Manjaro (arch linux) so it would be nice with using only Vulkan to render.
We have a build working in ubuntu. Not sure about other distros.
Not sure if you're aware of this, but apparently dropbox turned the link off, so it no longer works. Any chance you could host it directly on AMD's site servers?
Nevermind, I found it. You may want to update the download link in the original post though.
Thanks for the heads up! Working on it. There's a few fixes in the last few days too...
Should be updated.
I tested on Manjaro and didn't install, I am not pro on Linux but I installed AMD-Opencl on Aur package, opencl work with Cycles, I think someone should add Aur package for Radeon Prorender, the vulkan part could be independent.
