Since I tried this add-on I have been of the impression that it is the best addition in my UV Mapping toolbox. If I where limited to one UV-Map realted add-on this would be my choice.
UV Packmaster Pro 2 is intended to quickly pack a UV map for your object that fits in the non-overlapping space in the shortest amount of time possible. However, it still has some drawbacks, like the interface. It can be quite hard to get up and running the first couple of times.
But once you understand it, you will never want to be without it. Follow the link to read my review.

So what is better over version one, kind of weird not to mention this if you talk about a newer version
Hi!
I can’t compare them since I never used the first version and it is no longer available. If you have it and want to know the difference here is a list of the major improvements.
Refactor of the CPU packing algorithm
Cuda packing
Non-square packing redesign
Python code refactoring
This info is taken from Gumroad. There is more info over there as well as links to more detailed explanations. But I can’t add to the info that is already available about the difference between version 1 and 2 so I rather not focus on what I can’t contribute to.
This plugin is a must for videogame development, where texture real estate is a valuable asset. Saved me a lot of time with results that would have been very difficult to obtain “by hand”.
Yes, I agree, it is such a huge timesaver!
