How to use and Create the "Patch Node"

1

Darkfall writes:

Hey Everyone,

In previous tutorials we have created custom Node Groups like the "Patch Node". One of which was the River Rapids VFX, you can check out the Blender Nation post here.

I tend to use a few different Node Groups and though I don't use them all the time, I find that having these nodes actually save me a whole bunch of time by optimizing my workflow.

In this video, we will look at how to use the Patch node, should you wish to download it!, or you can follow along and create your own.

In the download file, I have included two other Node Groups. The Clone Node and the Area Fill Node. These additional Nodes may not be used as often but as you can see in the video, they too help speed up our workflow.

To download the Node Groups, head over to our blog post (link below).

If you create an awesome node group or have suggestions on how we can improve our current ones, be sure to let us know in the comments below!.

I hope this helps and as always,

Thanks for reading!
