Thank you all for the experts helping new 3-D students (even older ones like me) – your efforts are very useful. Started with the “Donut” project from the BlenderGuru which was great and started doing GIS map of an area so this 3-D tube tool is useful especially on of our buildings actually has … very large tubes (ventilation) coming out of its side! :)
Can’t wait to try this out. Especially doing things like grab irons on a tank. Easy but time consuming. Hope this works out! Thanks! – Rich
Can’t get this to work. Shortcut W is mapped to Seelct Box options, and nothing shows up using search. Made for 2.80 beta?
Interesting that this works only in edit mode, so the tubes become part of the cube object. I know it’s probably easy to select them all and split them into their own object, but is there a way to do that at creation time?

Whenever I click space bar and type ‘Tube Tool’ or ‘Add simple tube’ nothing happens. The tool doesn’t show, even though I installed it properly. Any idea, what do I do wrong? Can’t wait to use it.
Hey, not too sure. Have you tried selecting two faces and then searched?

Hi, I’m having issues with this addon. With the faces selected exactly as in your youtube tutorial there is the ‘Add Tubing’ option at the top of the menu if you right click but it is greyed out and you can’t do anything with it. I’ve tried every combination of clicks to try it but nothing will work. I also cannot see any option in the F3 search.
Downloaded and installed in 2.8x and 2.9x
clicked it on in both
both say “Upgrade to 2.8x required” with a “!” in a triangle
So it doesnt look like it works in lattest Blender
Are there any other options?
Just one issue with this.
If you want to fork the tube it doesn’t work with bezier curves. You need to create separate curves and manually align them. Still… nice plugin
