Blender 2.80 Bittorrent Downloads

Update: download mirrors are now in place and bittorrent downloads are no longer needed, so I stopped serving them. These links will no longer work.

As the Blender site is completely choked since the release of Blender 2.80, I've started working with the Blender Foundation on setting up temporary bittorrents for downloads.

Note: you can also download Blender from Steam.

Some notes:

  • I'm not very experienced with this, so please bear with me if things go wrong ;-)
  • Please keep your bittorrent client open when the download is finished and help other users (and me). If I don't get enough people to help me seed these files and it kills my connection, I'll have to shut this down again.
  • Please download files for other platforms to and keep seeding them.
  • I'm slowly adding new files as soon as I receive them from the BF.

  3. I'm honestly a little surprised that Blender doesn't always distribute using BitTorrent along side regular downloads. With Blender being so open, it seems like a great decentralized way to distribute the software
