Project MPX - Mouse, Pen and XR in the same workflow in Blender

6

Pepe School Land and Gorka Mendieta present a cool project for a workflow that lets you seamlessly switch between doing work both inside and outside of VR in Blender.

Pepe School Land writes:

MPX project is a quick implementation to try to integrate the VR/XR inputs in an unified workflow with mouse and pen in Blender.

NOT A PUBLIC BETA. Right now is "quick and dirty" implementation, is not ready for production.
Demo by Daniel Martínez Lara, gunman animation by Sergi Miranda (sergimiranda.com), Fire animation by Jason Lee (xrg), Music: Hundred Mile. Development: Gorka Mendieta.

I have a LONG history with Blender - I wrote some of the earliest Blender tutorials, worked for Not a Number and helped run the crowdfunding campaign that open sourced Blender (the first one on the internet!). I founded BlenderNation in 2006 and have been editing it every single day since then ;-) I also run the Blender Artists forum and I'm Head of Community at Sketchfab.

  1. Amazing!!!
How do you say it's called the short film you're going to make with these new tools? :)

Thanks for the great job you are doing.

  2. Very interesting project, is there a roadmap? I work on a daily basis with Blender + Unreal + HTC Vive, can beta test.
