In this video I go over the basic setup for soft body physics in Blender 2.8.

Soft body physics in blender are poorly documented so I hope that this video is able to make sense of the abstract settings.

    • Unless you wanted to simulate it being squished you wouldn't need a soft body simulation to create a model like that. I might make a tutorial on how you create a candy wrapper in the future. Doesn't seem like there has a been a video demonstrating how you would go about doing that.

In the meantime, I would recommend trying to make a plane with enough geometry to manually deform the crinkled ends of the wrapper. It would mostly be manual tweaking to get the desired effect.
