Meet Kobe Dog, a funny animated short about typical dog day. Do you often leave your sandwich on the table?

Hello, I want to share with you my latest animation made in blender 2.8 grease pencil. It's my first 2d production, but I've already loved doing it :)

My name is Artur Marcol, and I am 3d character animator around 10 years already. Since I've started my professional career, I was constantly working on my own project, mostly to learn, but generally just to have fun. I directed and animated "Magic Forest" movie and "Gordon Goose" series, what has 9.3k subscribers on yt channel. It was quite popular in some corporations area, but it always took a lot to do for all team.

My goal was to find a way to do short animations really fast and in a creative way. I'm not technical at all, I have no idea about rigging, shading, even more, advanced modeling than simple shapes. I realise that as an animator, I have to learn how to work in a traditional way with modern technology. Then I saw a grease pencil presentation, and I said.... this is it!

I can draw, I can move my camera, a can build simple 3d environment, and everything what I was looking for. Here is a result of my first complete 2d animation ever. Without blender, it wouldn't be possible.

Thank You blender!

Kobe dog also has its own YouTube channel and Facebook page.

It's really cute and well done. There does seem to be technical glitch of 1 frame black when you cut from the close shot of the table to the wide shot. Maybe you can rerender and re-upload before this clip goes viral?
