Create 3D images for facebook in Blender

Just a very quick video that shows how to upload your own "3D" images from blender onto Facebook. The new Facebook feature calculates a 3D effect for any image, provided you upload a depth map for it. It seems to be a fairly simple concept and looks pretty impressive. This is a great way to get more impressive looking 3D renders.

  1. Hi Rico. Thanks for the tuts.

The artifacts are likely from occlusion and become evident when the subject is viewed from angles other than the original rendered perspective. Kinect / depth camera maps can exhibit such artifacts too.
