School films made with Eevee/Blender 2.80 Beta

Hi, BlenderNation!

Our school filmmaking adventure continues! Last year we shot some short films, using Blender for video editing and effects.

"Stranger School" was reported here on BlenderNation. We are still very proud of this post. The short had a lot more views than usual: thank you to everybody!

This year we accepted another challenge: participate to "Le avventure dei Cyberkid" (Cyberkids' adventures), a 1-minute short film contest about cyberbullying.

We made three shorts (with three different classes) in about three months! In addition to basic video editing, all of them needed some effects (keying, plane tracking, compositing). Everything was done in Blender 2.80 Beta.

Blender 2.80 was chosen because of Eevee. One of the shorts, NOI, is located in some sort of "virtual space", and we need to build it from scratch... quickly and with almost no experience! The final result is not perfect, but we succeed to finish it in time for the contest -and this alone is a victory! Eevee was a proper life saver!

Hope you like them!

You can watch "NOI - No Obstacle is Impossible" ("Noi" means "We" in Italian) here:

And here are our two entries:

L'amicizia è più forte - Friendship is stronger

Thank you very much! I shared the post on Edmodo (a social network for the school). My students and I are very proud of being on Blender Nation! We discovered a lot of useful tutorials and news here!
